Graphic design guide
Scope of the guide
An associate degree in graphic design is generally a two-year education path and a bachelor's degree is a four-year education path; Preparation and program-specific conditions may differ. The choice should not be made based on time alone. Current curriculum, studio work, feedback and personal goal should be evaluated together.
Compare two programs with the same criteria
BİLGİ's associate degree graphic design page and Topkapı's undergraduate department page are examples of different education paths. These are not a ranking of success. It is necessary to examine each institution's current course plan, application opportunities and admission announcement separately.
Open three columns for comparison: the skill I will learn, the project that will demonstrate it, who I will get the feedback from. The application load of two courses titled "Typography" may be different. Likewise, a program's digital design title alone does not tell you how much work has been done with interface flows or user evaluation.
If your target is catalog and packaging, you should prepare the production file; If it is a digital interface, question their interaction status. Consider the program duration not only as the time spent to get a diploma, but as the time allocated for the studies you will develop. Fields in the Graphic design guide can be used to describe this goal.

Frequently asked questions
Should I choose an associate degree or a bachelor's degree?
Look at your targeted field of study, the time you can spare and the content of the program. Examine student projects and application opportunities as well as course names. A degree is not an automatic guarantee of employment or expertise.
Where can I learn about admission and transition conditions?
For up-to-date conditions, please use the university's official announcements and relevant official preference guides. Do not treat a previous year's score or a third-party page as a definitive admission requirement.
