Email designer prepares the readable visual structure of the newsletter or campaign message. Mailing design is a broader task than simply placing all the text on a single image. The reader needs to be able to understand the title, key information, and next step across different screens.
A product announcement, event invitation, and regular newsletter do not require the same amount of information. As Selçuk Aker, I start by asking about the purpose of the post, the current brand language, and the system on which the application will be made. Design and shipping operations are separate deliveries.
Prioritize single main in a post
The title, tagline, and action link should tell the reader why they will click. If there is more than one product, the priority between them must be clear. Showing every element the same size and color can make it difficult to find the real message.
Instead of leaving the link text just “click,” explain where to go. The offer in the e-mail and the information on the page that opens must be consistent. Date, scope and product specifications should be taken from customer-approved content.
Plan visual and live text together
If images are not loaded, the entire message should not be lost. Check with the developer or person who manages the email platform to ensure that important information is provided in a workable text structure. Explanatory alternative texts and mobile-readable layouts can be prepared for images.
The design file alone does not guarantee the same appearance in all email applications. HTML implementation and actual submission testing should be done separately. Long headlines, different text lengths and narrow screen examples can be tested during the design phase.
Separate delivery and shipping responsibilities
Visual assets, layout, text styles and mobile mockups can be included in the design. HTML coding, contact list management, automation and shipping should be specified separately. Processes such as subscription or communication permissions should be carried out by the relevant business managers.
At my email design service we can start with the purpose of the newsletter and the required formats. Mailing readability guide explains in more detail how image and text will work together.
Frequently asked questions
Does the mailing design include shipping service?
It does not contain itself. Design, HTML implementation and submission responsibilities should be defined separately at the proposal stage.
Can the same template be used every month?
It can be used if the content structure is similar. Situations such as long titles and variable number of products should be tested while preparing the template.
Is putting a social media image in an email enough?
Not always. Reading and connection needs in email may differ; The text and action order should be adapted accordingly.
