What does social media management involve?
Social media management is the work that includes content planning, production, publication, community communication and result evaluation in a brand's accounts. When looking for a social media specialist, it is not enough to just ask how many posts will be prepared. Who will write the text, who will shoot the product, who will respond to comments and who will make decisions in case of crisis? These tasks should appear clearly within the proposal. Social media consultancy and daily account operation are not the same deliverable.
Social media agency or freelance?
In social media work for businesses, the choice depends on the scope of the tasks. If only visual production is required, working directly with the designer may be sufficient. If publishing, photography, advertising and community communications are required together, a team plan is required. For this reason, I do not evaluate the Instagram account management request based on the number of designs alone.
