March social media plan requires assessing what the brand has the right to say on social and environmental issues. Strong design does not make an unverifiable claim true. As Selçuk Aker, I attach importance to clarifying the basis of the message, its sources and the visual language in which it will be used.
Starter calendar for March
| Date | Day | Content preparation |
|---|---|---|
| March 8 | International Women's Day | Representation, real initiatives and a review of the wording |
| March 21 | International Day of Forests | Sourced information or actual contribution |
| March 22 | World Water Day | Verifiable narrative about product and process |
The days are in the United Nations calendar. This page does not list all of a year's events; offers selected topics for visual production.
Avoid clichés in March 8 communication
If the brand has a real initiative or resource it can share, explain it. Instead of adding flowers to a general phrase of praise, consider who is saying the message and on whose behalf. If a team photo is to be used, permission to publish and correct names must be approved. Do not present employee stories or representative people that do not exist as real references.
Relationship between visual and evidence in environmental message
The color green, leaf symbol or recycling arrow does not prove the environmental nature of a product. It must be explained which product, period and measurement the claim is based on. If you only have process information, explain it with a clear diagram or information card; Do not include unmeasured impact figures.
Sample content flow: introduce the material used, explain post-use behavior, redirect to the page with the required document. This flow must be verified by the product team and content lead.
Scheduling March visuals in series
Give each topic a separate cover, description order, and final action. Instead of spreading the same message across all days, use different compositions within common branding guidelines. My social media design work provides a start to consider how this visual language can be transferred to different formats. We can also establish product communication through the same information with Packaging Design.
Frequently asked questions
Does my brand need to post on every social issue?
No. If there is no meaningful contribution, accurate information or real application, not sharing is also a communication decision.
Can human images produced by artificial intelligence be used?
It can be considered as a representative image; should not be presented as a real employee or customer. Its relationship with the content and terms of use should be checked.
Does the designer verify environmental claims?
The relevant product or expert team must ensure the technical accuracy of the claim. The designer organizes the approved information in an understandable manner.
