Consistent restaurant design from menu to takeaway

Logo and signage

I design the restaurant name for legibility on signs, menu covers and small ordering screens.

Menu system

I create a sustainable page layout for product names, descriptions, prices and variable campaigns.

Takeaway brand identity

I prepare bag, box, cup and label applications according to real production surfaces.

Restaurant brand identity design collects the visuals that the guest sees, from the sign to the order package, in a common system. As Selçuk Aker, I plan logo, menu, packaging and campaign designs together. I evaluate the needs of a newly opened restaurant and a business that renews its existing branches separately.

How does the concept change the design decision?

For quick-service restaurants, customers need to find menu categories quickly. In a restaurant where people sit for long periods of time, menu order, use of photography, and the feel of the printed material may take on a different importance. During the brief, price positioning, service style and the existing visual character of the venue are discussed. The logo does not replace these decisions; It is one of the elements that make them visible.

Menu and takeaway service should be considered together

The printed menu and the digital menu should be prepared from the same data source. We appoint a content manager to prevent product names and prices from differing in two places. In the takeaway box, instead of repeating all the information in the menu, I arrange the brand, product distinction and necessary label fields. The business provides food information; Technical and regulatory approval remains with the authorized person.

Branch and campaign adaptations

Horizontal, vertical and single color usage may be required to apply the same brand on different facades. To prevent campaigns from disrupting the main identity, I define the title, price and product photo fields. Variable information such as branch address is separated from the main logo. This way, it is not necessary to re-establish the brand identity for each announcement.

Scope of delivery

  • Approved logo versions and basic color-typography rules.
  • Agreed number of menus and packaging surfaces.
  • Announcement designs in formats determined for social media.
  • Files and proofing checklist prepared according to manufacturer's dimensions.

Printing, signage manufacturing and food photography are not automatically part of the design fee. You can review the menu design guide and share your restaurant's needs.

Frequently asked questions

Can we start by keeping the current logo?

Yes. First, we evaluate the usage quality of the existing file and develop the menu and packaging language according to this identity.

Do price changes require a new design each time?

It is not necessary to redo the entire layout if the variable fields and the update manager are determined at the beginning. The need for an editable template is written into the proposal.

Can multiple branches use the same file?

Common items can be shared. Address, size and branch-specific product differences should be checked in separate versions.
