What does the employer preference list describe?
The evaluation created through users or application records of a platform describes the view of that data group. It is not the common opinion of the entire design industry or the job guarantee offered to every graduate. If the data source, sample, time period, and criteria used are not disclosed, read the results with caution. Popularity and suitability for you are separate questions.
What traces should you look for in the curriculum?
In addition to course names, review project descriptions, student work, and evaluation method. Don't just look at the programs used. How are research, typography, visual expression and production preparation handled? Are there any elective courses or workshops in the field you are interested in? If there is a date difference between a program's introduction page and the current lesson plan, ask the department for verification.
Make the school visit with a list of questions
Knowing the access conditions is as important as seeing the workshop. What equipment can be used outside of class, who provides the production materials, how are student works exhibited? Also calculate how transportation and accommodation burden will affect the time you can devote to production. Even two programs in the same city may yield different results in terms of your daily work routine.
