Working with a Freelance UI/UX Designer in Istanbul

Hiring a UI/UX designer in Istanbul does not automatically define what the project includes. Research, interaction design, visual interface design and implementation support are different responsibilities. When working with a freelance UI/UX designer, start with the decision your team needs to make and the product outcome you want to support.

Define the job before the screen count

A list of screens is useful, but it does not describe every interaction. A dashboard may need loading, empty, error and permission states. A registration journey may involve email verification and recovery steps. Ask the designer to review one representative flow with your developer before agreeing on the complete delivery list.

Separate research from interface production

A usability review can identify questions worth investigating; it is not the same as research with representative users. If interviews or usability sessions are needed, agree who recruits participants, how sessions are documented and what decisions the findings will inform. A visual redesign should not be presented as proof that a business problem has been solved.

Establish a remote feedback routine

Share feedback in one agreed place and appoint a person who resolves conflicting comments. Written decisions help teams working in different time zones understand why a change was made. Discuss meeting availability directly rather than assuming that a city or country label guarantees a particular schedule.

Make the handoff understandable

The source file should make page relationships, reusable components and important interaction states clear. Identify which prototype interactions are demonstrations and which behaviours must be implemented. Developer questions during the handoff can reveal gaps that a polished presentation did not show.
